In the land of Tremel, a power struggle is occurring.
Four factions all vying to bring their ideas to the masses of the land:

All four fighting one another, whether on the same side of the law or not.
Which of these four will you choose to join and help bring their goals to fruition?

Design Guidelines

Below, you will find guidelines on how to design your character to fit within the realm of Tremel. While this page contains information for non-Modified characters, there are further rulings and guidelines in the Modified Pokémon section linked above. As a general rule of thumb, however:

  1. Any Pokémon that does not stray from the official design is likely to be allowed without the need for design approval

  2. You may alter a character's Nature, Characteristic, and Ability at any time without the need for approval nor at any additional cost

  3. You are allowed to change a Pokémon that is typically quadrupedal to be bipedal, and vice-versa

  4. You are not allowed to make a Pokémon resemble a humanoid (kemono, gijinka, or realistic anthropomorphism)

If you are unsure about any element of your character, be it design or backstory, please ask for approval via a note to the group or in the #design-feedback channel in Discord!

Ancestry Traits

As a baseline, you are allowed to have your character exhibit small inherited traits from their ancestry! For example: a Pokémon with an Umbreon parent may have yellow band and/or circle markings; or a Pokémon with a Seviper in their family may have long fangs.Bear in mind that these changes should be purely cosmetic. If they inherit things such as an atypical typing for their species, or exhibit very prominent features from their ancestry, they may be better considered a Delta or a Fusion. If you choose to add any of these traits to your character, please check in with the mod team for approval!

Color Variants

Though not considered Modified Pokémon, your Pokémon can use natural color variations at no additional cost to start. For example: albinism, melanism, piebaldism, and shiny are legal; but Pinkan is not.If your Pokémon is evolved, at no additional cost, you are allowed to use colors from its previous evolution(s) in place of the ones it would normally have at that stage. For example: a Flygon can use yellow from Vibrava instead of green for its main body, or your Crobat can be blue like a Zubat instead of its usual purple. The Trade Guild leader Rene is one such example of this phenomenon!Additionally, any color palette that has appeared in an official work or game is valid to start with. For example, a blue-earred Sneasel using the Gold/Silver sprite palette or a bluish Bulbasaur from Pokémon Stadium are both allowed (see below). We would appreciate it if you noted where the unique coloration comes from if you do use it to start with, however!

Sneasel sprite from Gold and Silver

Sneasel from Pokémon Gold/Silver

Shiny Bulbasaur from Pokemon Stadium

Bulbasaur Variant from Pokémon Stadium

Recoloration Dye is an item that will occasionally be purchasable through the Fire Sale or earnable as an event reward. Using this, you can swap your character between any natural colorations listed above, and make adjustments to your character’s palette such as dying fur an unusual color. Any recolors using this item will need to be approved!

Here are a few resources for color variations:

Modified Pokémon

In Tremel, you can very rarely find Pokémon that are of unusual types for their species, or even Pokémon that are hybrids of two species. These Pokémon—called “Modified” in OOC terms—are known as Deltas and Fusions respectively. A third type of Modified Pokémon exists in Mages, who are often trained in one or more magical disciplines and hone their skills through practice. All three are extremely uncommon. For thet full information and guidelines on designing a Modified Pokémon, please see the above links and the second briefly detailing Mages below.

Mage Pokémon

Mage Pokémon are also considered Modified Pokémon, and you can find information about them and more at Magic in the World of Tremel. In short, however, Mages are Pokémon who are adept at magic and can tap into the Ley Lines of the world to use spells, charms, and other such. While not a true rarity in Tremel, as most Mage Pokémon do not even know they have such powers, those that do are still rather uncommon.

Design Guidelines & Modified Pokémon

Delta Pokémon

Delta Pokémon are Pokémon who have a completely different type from the one typical for their species. For example, a normal Beedrill is Bug/Poison, while a Delta Beedrill can be Steel/Poison.Delta Pokémon occur when a regular Pokémon is exposed to a source of magic or a Delta Shard, which is extremely difficult to come by and is not a readily-available commodity in Tremel.

Moves and Abilities

When creating your Delta Pokémon, they can start with up to 2 moves of the new type, and any move that is normally learned through level up by their species. To give your character a TM/HM, Move Tutor, or Transferred move, you will need to use a Move Coach Token as normal. You may pick signature moves of most Pokémon, however the signature moves of Legendary Pokémon are off-limits.Your Delta Pokémon can start with any Ability that its species can have, or any ability available to Pokémon of the new type. Abilities exclusive to Legendary Pokémon are off-limits.

Designing a Delta

Ultimately, all Delta designs must be approved by the admins before they are allowed to be used. As such, we encourage you to get creative! When designing a Delta Pokémon, the following is mandatory to qualify as a Delta:

  • The Pokémon must have one or more types that are not the same as the one(s) they have as a regular version of their species. If there is no change in type, the Pokémon is not a Delta

  • The Pokémon should have one or more traits from their new type that makes them distinct from a color variant of a regular version of their species. Color variants include: albinism, melanism, shiny, or a mix of any of them.

The following is merely a list of tips to design your Delta, and the loose rules that they should operate on:

  • Include themes, common colors, and traits from the new type. A table of possible themes is below.

  • The silhouette of your Pokémon should remain recognizable as their species, even with added physical traits. This does not mean that you can’t add more prominent features such as large wings for a Dragon or Flying type, or that you cannot change the shape of Pokémon based on objects such as Honedge or Polteageist.

  • Time period should be taken into account when iterating on machine-like Pokémon. Tremel is still a land of late medieval technology, and so something like a Steel Delta that resembles a futuristic robot is still not allowed.

Suggested Themes for Delta Designs

These themes are only suggestions to get you started. Additionally, the color suggestions are not required to be the only color, and may not be required at all. If you feel strongly about a particular theme/palette/etc. not listed, then feel free to check in!

Design Guidelines & Modified Pokémon

Fusion Pokémon

Fusion Pokémon are Pokémon who are made up of two different Pokémon to make an entirely new one. A Fusion occurs when two Pokémon are exposed to a source of magic or a Fusion Orb, which is extremely difficult to come by and is not a readily-available commodity in Tremel. Fusions are able to reproduce, it is possible for Pokémon to be born as a fusion, but this is nigh unheard of.Fusion Pokémon are the only ones in the group that can have three types maximum. For example: fusing a Charizard with a Spewpa to have it be Flying/Fire/Bug. If the character is a fusion of two dual-typed Pokémon, you choose which type to discard or keep.

Moves and Abilities

When creating your Fusion Pokémon, they can start with 2 moves which are learnable from either side. To give your Fusion a TM/HM, Move Tutor, or Transferred move, you will need to use a Move Coach Token as normal.Your Fusion Pokémon can start with any Ability that either side can have, including any Hidden Abilities they may be able to have.

Designing a Fusion

When designing a Fusion Pokémon, the following is mandatory to qualify as a Fusion:

  • The Pokémon must be a combination of up to two Pokémon not of the same evolutionary line.

  • The Pokémon must only have up to three types.

  • The Pokémon exhibits traits (colors and obvious physical traits) from both sides of their fusion.

The following is merely a list of tips to design your Fusion, and the loose rules that they should operate on:

  • You do not need to include all traits from both sides of the fusion. There is also no particular percentage that each side should embody. Rather, we encourage you to get creative with what you would like from your design!

  • Physical traits should be obvious, and the Pokémon should not only be borrowing colors from one side.

  • For example: a Cranidos/Tyrantrum fusion that has the main body of a Tyrantrum and only the colors and horns from Cranidos would not pass as a Fusion design.

  • NOTE: Some Pokémon will have color combinations that simply work extremely well together and be indistinguishable. If this is the case, the admins would appreciate including an image or a link to the Pokémon in their respective colors to use as a reference when judging your character(s)!

  • If you are not copying physical traits one-to-one, you can use markings or other unique characteristics that make it clear which Pokémon you’re using in the fusion.

  • For example: a Grapploct fusion may have tentacle-like limbs and its markings, but not necessarily have 8 of those limbs; or a Comfy/Lilligant fusion may have Comfey’s flower chain, but their overall body shape and silhouette may resemble Lilligant.

  • When picking physical traits from Pokémon, try to go for defining and “iconic” features.

  • For example: Absol’s horn, Fraxure’s jaw blades, Altaria’s cloud-like wings, Ninetales’s tails, Chandelure’s arms and fire, Marowak’s skull, etc.

Design Guidelines & Modified Pokémon

Paradox Pokémon

For the purposes of OOC communication, we will refer to them as Paradox Pokémon, but bear in mind that such a term does not exist in the setting itself! In the world of PMD: Outlaws, Paradox Pokémon (at least the Ancient ones) are considered regional variants, meaning a Scream Tail would be considered a regional variant of a Jigglypuff and an Iron Hands is considered a variant of Hariyama. Future Paradoxes are a bit more complicated. You can find a table of the Paradox Pokémon evolutionary lines here if you need a quick reference of how they flow in this setting!

Ancient Paradox

As the Ancient Paradox Pokémon are more easily explained as regional variants, you are allowed to create your own version of what a pre-evolved and/or evolved form of that Pokémon might be. This is limited to only the evolutionary lines of official Paradox Pokémon. This means you cannot create a wholly new Paradox form for something such as a Charizard, which has no official Paradox form(s).Additionally, you can use a Passport (7000 A; purchasable at the Fire Sale) at any time to change your Pokémon into its Ancient Paradox variant (including forms that you yourself created). For example, you can make an Igglybuff that exhibits traits found in a Scream Tail Jigglypuff, or a Magnezone with traits found in a Sandy Shocks Magneton. It is highly recommended that these designs go through the #design-feedback channel in our Discord, or approved via Note on the group’s DeviantArt. If you do not submit them for approval before sending in their application, they'll be checked when we receive the application.

A few rules and guidelines for creating these Pokémon are as follows:

  • If you are creating a new evolution, the Pokémon uses any combination of the base Paradox Pokémon’s typing.

  • For example, a Great Tusk Donphan has Ground and Fighting typing. Your Paradox Phanpy can use Ground and Fighting typing, be mono-Ground, or mono-Fighting.

  • If you are creating a new evolution, the Pokémon starts with three moves from its regular learnset, and can have one move of its new typing (see above; only if applicable). Additional moves of its new typing can be learned using a Move Tutor Token (1800 A; purchasable from the Fire Sale). Alternatively, you can simply have four moves from its regular learnset if you’d prefer.

  • For example, a Paradox Phanpy that is mono-Fighting could start with Rollout, Bulldoze, and Double-Edge (from its regular Generation IX learnset) as well as Body Press, a Fighting-type move that it normally would not be able to learn.

  • Be sure to make a note of which is the newly added move if you do so as it helps with expediting the approval process!

  • The Pokémon can only use abilities available to its regular form.

  • For example, a Paradox Phanpy could have either Pickup or Sand Veil, and a Great Tusk Donphan could have either Sturdy or Sand Veil.

  • If you are creating a new evolution, the Pokémon’s design exhibits traits from the Paradox Pokémon it is being adapted from.

Future Paradox

To preface, the admins understand the below restrictions may not be completely satisfactory for members of the group.
If you have any suggestions for improvements for how we have implemented Future Paradox Pokémon, feel free to contact the team via Notes on DeviantArt, the #questions-and-suggestions channel in the Discord, or through our anonymous feedback form.

At this time, Future Paradox Pokémon are not subject to the same level of freedom as Ancient Paradox Pokémon and you are not allowed to design pre-evolved and/or evolved forms of them. You also cannot change your Pokémon into its Future Paradox variant by any means. In the world of PMD: Outlaws, mechanical Pokémon are often written off as golems created by mages. While those Pokémon are then able to evolve—since it is assumed they come in an unevolved state—Future Paradox Pokémon are trickier as they come already in an evolved state in the source material. Visually, they are far more futuristic than the world’s time period would normally allow. In the interest of allowing people to use them, however, Future Paradox Pokémon are legal to use as long as they adhere to the rules outlined under the Restrictions on Pokémon for Artificial Pokémon.

A few rules and guidelines for creating these Pokémon are as follows:

  • The Pokémon can only use abilities available to its regular form.

  • For example, an Iron Treads Donphan must have either Sturdy or Sand Veil as their ability.

  • Try to refrain from using futuristic or modern technology in your designs. If a Future Paradox Pokémon has LED displays or RGB lighting as part of their design (such as Iron Moth or Iron Treads), consider making them more akin to glowing runes, embedded crystals, or something similar.

Rewards

At the conclusion of an event, each faction is given a score (see: Event Grading below for details) and a rank, with Tier 4 being the highest and Tier 1 being the lowest. Rewards for the event are decided based on the overall Tier achieved for that faction, and they are rewarded to only eligible entries. These rewards will typically include Auran, items that are both available and typically unavailable at the Fire Sale, as well as a medal to confirm participation and add to your Team's overall rank (see: Team Rank below for details). In order for an entry to qualify for event scoring and rewards, you must submit it via the comment under the deviantArt journal or post it to the #entries-and-rewards channel in the Discord using the pinned formed. At the conclusion of an event and once the results have been announced, a mod will respond to your message confirming your rewards. When adding these items to a character's application or to your inventory, remember to link back to the deviantArt comment or Discord message left by the mod!

Team Rank

Rank is determined based on the total number of medals held by each member. At the conclusion of an event, you may earn more Auran based on your participating team's rank. See the table below for the rank multipliers. Note that a mod will be in touch with the exact amounts when the results are announced! These multipliers will only apply to Auran earned through events such as Missions and Heists.

  • Base Rank: 3 medals or less. 1× of Auran rewards per Event.

  • 1st Rank: 4 to 10 medals. 1.5× of Auran rewards per Event.

  • 2nd Rank: 11 to 20 medals. 2× of Auran rewards per Event.

  • 3rd Rank: 21 to 30 medals. 2.5× of Auran rewards per Event.

  • 4th Rank: 31 or more medals. 3× of Auran rewards per Event.

Event Grading

In order to determine the outcome of events such as Missions and Heists, a special grading system is employed for each. Missions utilize a set point system, whereas Heists are left up to the roll of a dice with a variety of factors determining how many rolls a faction gets. In order to keep things fair, we apply a multiplier for the lower-scoring factions under certain conditions.Event grading has no bearing on how much Auran you earn for your individual submission. However, at the conclusion of an event, each of your participating teams will earn rewards based on the faction's overall ranking.Teams that function as spies and who complete Spy Prompts earn points for the faction they are spying for, while at the same time deducting the same number of points from the faction they are spying on.Bear in mind, these systems are constantly evolving. If you have any feedback on how grading works at the current time, please do not hesitate to let us know in #questions-and-suggestions or via the feedback form linked below!

Missions

  • For each submission, add 1 point.

  • For each character in the faction featured, add 3 points.

  • If submission is lined and colored, add 3 points.

  • For each 1,000 words in literature submission, add 5 points.

  • If final entry features 10 or more submissions, add 10 points per submission retroactively.

  • For each comic page submitted, add 5 points.

  • If submission is animation, add 15 points and an additional 1 point per unique frame.

Heists

  • For each submission, add 1d20.

  • If the submission is a collab, add 1d20.

  • Per 5 works submitted for that faction, add 1d20.

  • If submission is animation, 3D art, or a game, add 1d20.

  • If submission is a comic, add 1d10.

  • If submission is literature over 4,000 words, add 1d10.

Restrictions on Pokémon

Regional Forms

Certain Regional Forms are native to the continent of Tremel, alongside their normal forms. Alolan, Galaran, Hisuian, and Paldean Pokémon can all be found in Tremel and are available for use.If you wish to switch a character from one regional form to another, or to their standard form, you will need a Passport (7,000 A) from the Fire Sale group shop.Additionally, Ancient Paradox Pokémon are a special case, in that they are considered regional variants as well. Please see the section on Paradox Pokémon before you make an Ancient Paradox character. This section will be updated as more games are released and more regional forms are announced!

Shapeshifters

Shapeshifting Pokémon such as Zorua and Zoroark may copy the forms of other Pokémon while retaining their moveset.Ditto may Transform into other Pokémon and replicate their moveset, but this is temporary and the signature Ditto look must be evident when copying a Pokémon. Their official moveset can only contain Transform.

Groups & Multiple Bodies

Grouped Pokémon include Tandemaus, Maushold, Exeggcute, Falinx, and Wishiwashi (School Form). The depictions of Pokémon of this nature are flexible in that you are allowed to portray them in a variety of ways. This includes:

  1. Multiple individuals on one application

  2. A group of two or more individuals, but who are not necessarily at their standard maximum numbers (i.e. a group of Falinks with only four members instead of six)

  3. An individual from a group that now, for whatever reason, is on their own

Any Pokémon that typically appears in a group are assumed to have come from one if depicted alone. The reasoning for this is up to you upon creating your character, but we ask that it is mentioned (even if only briefly) in the description for the character. Whether the application depicts a group or a solo member of the group, the application can only feature one moveset and ability, which shared among all members of the group.Pokémon with multiple bodies include Dugtrio/Wugtrio, Magneton, Weezing, Metagross, Combee, Cherubi, Vanilluxe, the Klink line, Doublade, and the Binacle line. These Pokémon differ from grouped Pokémon in that they are multiple individuals with conjoined bodies. You may also depict these Pokémon as a "hivemind" if you so desire.Multi-bodied Pokémon can be designed missing one or more parts of their body, however we ask that you be wary of how closely some may skew towards a previous evolution. For example, if you submit a Magneton missing two of its heads, then we may ask that you make it a Magnemite instead. Additionally, if you do depict a Pokémon of this nature with missing bodies, please be mindful and respectful in any potential portrayals of disabilities. In all cases, you may add as many natures and characteristics as you see fit for each individual on the application!

Smeargle and Sketch

As Smeargle starts only with Sketch, a Smeargle character may have 1 slot filled with a move of their choice and 3 others with Sketch. When using Sketch to gain a new move, it may be only done once per Mission or Event. Once all 4 slots are filled, to change a move back to Sketch, you must obtain and use a Move Coach Token (available at the Fire Sale for 1,800 A).

Inventories and Auran

Managing Your Inventory

The group handles inventories based on an honor system, relegating the responsibility of tracking earnings and expenditures to the individual members. This can be done via a deviantArt journal or post, Google Sheets, or however you would like to keep track of your Auran and items. Doing things this way helps relieve the mod team of additional responsibilities, and we do not wish to vigorously monitor members every movement, in the hopes that it provides some sense of freedom. As a preventative measure to potential cheating however, we do ask that members link to where they acquired or claimed their items in either character application descriptions or directly on their tracker. In short, as long as you can give us the information when or if we should ask, where and how you manage your inventory is up to you! For information on how to claim or purchase items, see the links below:

Earning Auran

Auran is the main currency of Tremel. A simple gold coin with the logo pressed into it, it is said to be named after Aura, the lifeforce and main energy of all Pokemon. That which a name like this would embody this idea was the goal, in reality most in Tremel have forgotten all about the meaning behind the currency's etymology- aside from historians and the curious.Outside lore, Auran can be mechanically earned in a variety of ways. Primarily, the main way to earn Auran is through the submission of artwork and literature. For each submission made to the group, a grader will review the work and leave a comment leaving a breakdown of the Auran earned. Another way to earn Auran is to participate in Activities. Missions, Events, and Heists all have an amount of Auran awarded at the end depending on the performance of their Team's Faction.Below is a table of what earnings you can expect when uploading your work to the group. Remember to upload it to the correct folder!

  • For each character featured, add 75 A .

  • If submission features background (excluding gradients and single color backgrounds), add 75 A .

  • For each fullbody (more than 3/4) character featured, add 150 A .

  • For each halfbody (less than 3/4, but more than 1/4) character featured, add 75 A .

  • For each headshot (less than 1/4) featured, add 40 A .

  • For each colored character, add 40 A .

  • For each lined character, add 40 A .

  • For each shaded/highlighted character, add 40 A .

  • For each sketched character, add 15 A .

  • If submission is a craft (a physical art piece such as a model), add 1500 A, and 500 A for each character featured.

  • If submission features literature, add 1 A for each word. For every 1,000 words, add 500 A.

  • Additionally, for each character application (excluding NPCs), you earn a flat 200 A.

Brave Bird Messengers

Welcome to Brave Bird Delivery Services or as it's more well known as, Brave Bird Messengers! Tremel's finest and best mail and parcel service- who will deliver whatever you ask of them, wherever it needs to go... with some caveats. Merchants Trade Guild

About

The Trade Guild operates throughout Tremel in a fashion comparable to your typical Guild: exploration, rescuing, and dungeon delving. While these are a part of the services offered by the Trade Guild, the primary goal of the Trade Guild is profit through trading goods. Guild members are not only members, but merchants and traders, moving goods across Tremel for the sake of profit; for themselves and for the Guild which takes a cut of any profit its members make off goods procured from the Guild. As the Trade Guild holds an incredible presence in commerce, it is normal for shops in some towns and cities to be run entirely by members of the Trade Guild and stocked with goods procured internally for better profits. Fuss has been made about the impact these shops have on smaller communities but the convenience and ability to sell goods to them upfront is a positive many accept the negatives for.The Trade Guild also operates its own naval force, mainly merchant vessels along with a few passenger vessels to facilitate movement around Tremel’s port settlements. The merchant vessels are the pride of the Guild and ply the Grand Ocean, bringing goods to and fro Tremel, with vigilant and seasoned crews to guide them home every time.

History

Six hundred years ago, a small merchant shop opened by the docks in Fairfort. It’s owners were bright, hard-working, and willing to make deals with all sorts of Pokemon to maintain a steady profit. Over time, this small shop expanded its stock and grew in size. Charged from a small stall on the seaside to an exquisite compound with offices, storehouses, an auction house, and a large storefront - the largest in all of Tremel, in fact.By this point, the original owner’s children had reorganized the way things were run and established the Merchants Trade Guild of Fairfort, with the goal of networking trade from Fairfort to the rest of Tremel, and even to lands beyond the Grand Ocean. With the establishment of the guild came many new young Pokemon who wished to make a name for themselves, trading goods across the continent, staking out resources and deals, and doing good deeds for towns and cities in the name of the Guild. They had laid the foundation of a Guild many Pokemon throughout Tremel would look to, in idolization and for their needs in the worst of times.Today, it’s run by Rene - a descendant of the original owner’s of that small shop. He has no intention of letting things flounder within the Guild under his tenure and, by extension, Tremel as a whole. Though his small size and boy-ish looks cause many to underestimate him, this Meowstic sees it as a personal duty to help those in Tremel and provide safety to those who cannot get it themselves. Beyond this, he's still a trader at heart and has one motive above all: Prosperity for all.

Leadership

Rene; Leader of the Trade Guild

Meowstic

The ever present and watchful leader of the Trade Guild, Rene has it in him to please others and build bridges whenever he can. It is his job to foster trade, for his Guild and Tremel as a whole. And work he does, a hardworking mon, it's common to find him in his office dealing with paperwork and making all sorts of plans. Sometimes he's meeting new mon or supervising the entrance of new Pokemon into the Trade Guild fold. More Pokemon, more trade, which means more the Pokemon prosper under his tutelage.Speaking of tutelage, Rene always watches out for those who work under him in his Guild. They are an extension of him and his influence and the influence of the Trade Guild. It wouldn't do, in his eyes, that he ever let harm befall his subordinates if he can help it. He's ready to lend a helping hand and spends time tutoring Pokemon, helping to be the best they can. They serve as role models for Tremel, and that means keeping up with a lot as members of the Guild. This is why he is entirely dedicated in eradicating Outlaws, with a special focus on the Blue-Spirit Outlaws and the Lexin Wayfarers. They interfere with the Guild, causing it and innocent Pokemon large amounts of grief. He's made it clear: the future of Tremel is one with far, far fewer Outlaws.

Reynard; Co-Leader and Quartermast of the Trade Guild

Sceptile

An old, portly lizard, Reynard Gildedleaf has been working in the Trade Guild since... well, it's been a long time, easily over 50 years. His once lovely green scales have dulled with age, and, despite never being much of battler even in his youth, he's notably slowed down a lot, but his mind remains as sharp as ever. He's very good at his job as quartermaster, with a strong memory and natural knack for organising, and a deep care for those who work for him. He was often bullied for his weight in his younger years, and that led him to foster a welcoming and kind work environment for everyone; he does not tolerate harassment of any kind and is very quick to punish guild members who don't respect everyone.Despite his experience, manners, and genuine care for others, Reynard's not very popular in the Trade Guild because he's often as seen as being too aloof or eccentric by other members... and they'd be absolutely right, he's a weird old man. He eats sweets by the caravan load, and takes his tea with a full bottle of honey, thank you very much. The Spectile's also massive fan of the arts, theatre in particular, and is a proud patron of many shows and companies, funding many of the local ones in Kora City and attending shows regularly. Easily distracted, not one for formalities, questionable hobbies... he's definitely not as well-put-together as one would expect a 'mon of his rank to be.Though many would assume that a 'mon of his age would feel foolish working for one as young as Rene, Reynard is very fond of the Meowstic and values his energy and vision for a better Tremel. He's never been much of a go-getter himself, so he's happy to support Rene and his vision of a peaceful world the best way he can: making sure that the Trade Guild's operations run as smooth as silk.

Captain Kipper and The Crew; Co-Leader, Harbourmaster, and Messenger of the Trade Guild

Wishiwashi

Captain Kipper and her Crew are recent additions to the Trade Guild. Regardless, they are already quite adept at their job managing both cargo ships in the harbor and even delivering some packages/messages themselves with schools of varying sizes. For very important deliveries, Captain Kipper will personally see to its safety, either escorting the ship or hauling the (waterproofed) package underwater nestled deep within her school.Much of their moveset specializes in mobility or maintaining the health of the Crew on long voyages. While her surly disposition and intense pride make her difficult to approach, make no mistake that Captain Kipper values her Crew. She knows all their names and ranks (despite there being… hundreds? How many are there???) and works her tail off keeping morale high. Work hard and be respectful and be treated in kind. Who knows? Maybe you can earn your place in her ranks too.The Crew is strong and fiercely loyal to the Captain. Together they operate almost as if one creature, working as if they were one creature under the Captain’s iron fisht. Without the Captain, smaller schools are able to function without her direct input. Larger schools, well… it’s best to avoid the waters on days the Captain isn’t at the helm. For this reason, Captain Kipper herself is most often found in the harbor. Simply pull the rope in her office at the docks and she’ll be right with you. She has a bowl for travelling on land, but it is less than ideal.Any and all rumors of her formerly being the dread pirate/sea monster Morgawr are false and honestly an insult to the integrity of her and her Crew.

Emerald Enforcers

About

The Emerald Enforcer’s main operations include safe-guarding trade caravans and merchants, watching over all the towns and cities of southern Tremel, clearing out Outlaw encampments, defeating, capturing, and jailing Outlaws, and defending settlements from raids; of Outlaws, Dungeon Pokemon, or otherwise.Working off donations and contracts for defending caravans, the work of the Enforcers is one of diligence and determination but of little pay- which is part of why corruption can take hold time to time within the Guild. Kalina has changed this, by providing better pay, food, and shelter in the current day, but still it is somewhat thankless work to be an Emerald Enforcer.Outside all of this, the Enforcers are also researchers and archivists, hosting a large library, school, and archival house within their main compound. In both the name of safety and in the name of keeping Pokemon safe by creating new innovations to better help defend Pokemon and capture Outlaws.

History

Kora City needed protection, that was clear to everyone. It’s location in between the Estoran Grasslands, Blue Plains, Spirit Meadows and the base of the Humble Mountains made it a center of trade - and a prime location for Outlaws to target. From individuals to large gangs, its citizens had to constantly be vigilant for ner-do-wells who wanted nothing more than to leech off the success of others within Kora City.A small band of outcasts within the city decided that they had nothing to lose fighting to defend their home (even if said home didn’t want them in the first place), and created a makeshift Guild: the Emerald Enforcers. The guild named in honor of the Guild’s first leader, Emerald; a Sableye with a knack for strategy and a strong will to fight and had put their life on the line time and time again for others. The Enforcers, though small at first, quickly grew in numbers as it claimed more successes defending the city and its surrounding areas. A name to be proud of and reputation for success was forged under Emerald's leadership, and, both inside and outside of Kora’s walls, it was soon spoken of as the protectors of law and order, explorers of the dangerous and unknown, and saviors of the lost and the captured.Over three hundred years, the Emerald Enforcers have grown and expanded from their tiny base in Kora City to having a major branch in every town and city in the south of Tremel, but not without a dark shadow casting itself over the Guild. Corruption was rife, bribes were common, and Outlaws found it easy to get away with crimes in the past few decades, souring the once noble name of the Guild and its members.Things made a sharp turn for the better when Kalina took over the Guild’s leadership from her rather absent father. She made great strides in rooting out as much corruption as she could to save the guild and its reputation. While she’s gone to great lengths to improve the Guild already, and there are few who would criticize her work, she personally feels that it hasn’t been enough. The Weavile believes that the Guild needs new blood and new strength to help establish trust in the Emerald Enforcers within Tremel once again; only then can they do what they originally were founded to do: keep Pokemon safe and Tremel a Peaceful land.

Leadership

Kalina; Leader of the Emerald Enforcers

Weavile

Brave, quick to action and haughty to those who don't know her well, serious and dedicated to the law to those who do, Kalina is one hard to miss. While friendly, she is hard on her subordinate guildies as she see's the Emerald Enforcers as a force of good to make an example in Tremel with. She does not tolerate corruption, slackers, and above all, traitors.
Despite her visions of grandeur, the reputation of past leaders still precedes the guild: one of being more a private mercenary band than a group of explorers and safe-keepers of the law. Kalina plans to wipe that reputation off the face of Tremel and firmly cement the Emerald Enforcers as a clean Guild, despite the odd make-up of the guild members. When your guild is known for readily accepting Dark, Poison, and Ghost types into the ranks, rumors tend to spread- and she plans to best all of those rumors every step of the way.
Aside from all this, her greatest enemies are the two largest Outlaw bands on Tremel, the Blue-Spirit Outlaws and the Lexin Wayfarers. That said, the Emerald Enforcers and the Trade Guild don't see eye to eye too well either...

Nora; Co-leader and Archivist of the Emerald Enforcers

Duskull

As a co-leader of and the Emerald Enforcer's archivist, she leads the collecting, assessing, organizing, preserving and watching over the records and archives of the Enforcers.Nora is a kind and patient pokémon. She tries her best to live up to her mark: Purity. While the leader, Kalina, holds the goals and ambitions of the guild, Nora supports her the best she can. She respects Kalina a lot for what she does and what she stands for.Although Nora's very busy as a co-leader of the Emerald Enforcers guild, she will always try to take time to lend a tender, listening ear to whomever needs it. The key she's never seen without is supposed to remind her to do her best to stay pure and integrous, always kind - like her great great grandma who first owned the key. Though there are rumors around the key that it unlocks a secret vault in the Enforcers' archives, they have yet to be proven true...Don't let Nora's duskully cute looks fool you. She may not be the best in combat, but her bright mind and knowledge acquired from countless sources has left big dents in the road for the outlaws who underestimated her. She is also a sort of control freak when it comes to the Enforcer's archives - she will silently lose it if someone dares mess with her baby. The bad deeds of the chaos-loving outlaws helped shape her dream of wanting to restore peace to Tremel, if there ever was a peaceful time. Any injustice done, especially towards those who cannot fight back, is looked upon with great sorrow... and sometimes a hint of annoyance.

Sullivan; Bookkeeper and Accountant for the Emerald Enforcers

Hydreigon

Sullivan grew up in Kora City, and living in the “City of Knowledge” he discovered his first love; math. Despite his love for algebra and geometry, he felt guilty; he was a strong Pokemon who could be a great help defending cities. So, once old enough, he enlisted in the guild to help protect the boundaries, where he spent most of his adult life.Eventually, the battles evolved Sullivan from a Deino to a Zwelious and finally, a Hydreigon, leading into one of the worst periods of his life. Hydreigon are known for being mindless, vicious, remorseless beasts; Sullivan was a valuable asset to the guild because of this fact. It’s only after he was discharged for losing his eye, arm, and ability to fly that his mind cleared for the first time since he evolved. He doesn’t remember this dark time, but still feels the echo of adrenaline and bloodlust that plague his dreams, and catches flashes of battle doing mundane tasks.Since then, he’s been different; a grouchy, quiet old man, with a sharp tongue, who spends his time working on the finances for the Emerald Enforcers where he is far away from battle and blood. Underneath that hard, angry exterior, is a scared and remorseful interior, full of regret for actions he doesn’t remember and fear that he will lose control again.Sullivan is a tough nut to crack; he’s not exactly the friendliest Pokemon, and even on good days, he’s dismissive and cold towards his guildmates. He seems marginally friendlier to his fellow admins, but no one’s really sure how he got his high ranking almost immediately after retirement. It’s very hard to read Sullivan; he wears a permanent scowl, even calculating the Emerald Enforcer’s finances at his desk. He tends to stick close to Kalina and Nora when forced away from his office. Good luck trying to make friends with him.

Blue-Spirit Outlaws

About

The Blue-Spirit Outlaws is a loose confederation of Outlaw gangs as well as individuals and groups that bear no allegiance other than the banner of Blue-Spirit itself.Heists, big or small, are usually planned by gang leaders and carried out by those who volunteer to take part and any gains made from the heist is split and divided among those who took part- with a cut taken to help support the less fortunate within the Blue-Spirit Outlaws. Individuals, small teams, and even whole gangs, can also take part in their own activities at their own leisure, provided they follow Mako’s guidelines on what is and isn’t proper targets.Attacking the poor, the sick, and/or the unfortunate will earn one the ire of the Shark and would be eligible to turn up in front of an Enforcers Outpost, gift wrapped to them for jail time.Along with these activities, the Blue-Spirit Outlaws provides care and safety for those who can’t provide for themselves for a variety of reasons. They may be Outlaws, but some within still have honor- to a degree.

History

From individuals who lived alone off pick-pocketing, to small groups of friends that stole from market stalls, to large gangs that pulled heists together, they all had the same thing in common: they were Outlaws. There’ve always been Outlaws in Tremel, even before the Age of Disasters, and they continue to wreak havoc to this day. Branded with a Mark for the crimes they commited - or, sometimes, didn’t commit - they live away from the safety of villages, towns, and cities, and can only rely on other Outlaws for safety and companionship.Though entire underground societies catering to those unlucky, or lucky, enough to be an Outlaw have always existed in Tremel, there never was a single representative organization for Outlaws in Tremel’s civilized south, nor no sole leader or leaders of the branded criminals. Disparate gangs, wandering groups, and individual thieves alike had to fend for themselves most of the time.Until the Shark came along: Mako. An unknown among Outlaws, even in her present day position, she is an enigma as to where she came from. Yet, one thing is clear: she is not one to play games with and she has a goal in mind for Tremel. The Minccino herself is the leader of the Blue Plains Gang, as well as the current head of the Blue-Spirit Outlaws, a massive collection of multiple Outlaw gangs all rallied under one banner. Mako and her co-leaders, Arin and Merlin, give all who join them a sense of unity in a land that cast them out and sees them as nothing but criminals and scum. So long as you respect her rules, you have a place among the Blue-Spirit Outlaws.Mako sees the landscape that Tremel is in today and gives all Outlaws under her banner a focus. From those who want a new chance at life to those who are done with how life is in Tremel, her ideals speak to them. The Blue-Spirit Outlaws represent Change, and Change will come. The Shark will make sure of it.

Mako's Code

  1. Never betray your fellow Outlaws. We are all outside the law, we have nowhere to turn to but each other.

  2. Never turn on those who are unfortunate. If they have nothing, then you gain nothing.

  3. Assist the weak and outcast. Not all among us are Outlaws but that does not mean they should suffer.

  4. Never forget the enemy to all Outlaws- the Law. The Trade Guild. The Emerald Enforcers. They are our enemy above all.

  5. Be courageous. Be determined. Never falter in the face of the law. The Law sees us as nothing but scum, not people.

Leadership

Mako "The Shark"; Leader of Blue-Spirit Outlaws

Minccino

"Looks can be deceiving" - the usual response many are told upon learning that the one of most fearsome Outlaws in all of Tremel is nothing but a Minccino. An utter disbelief, Mako's disposition is quiet, calm, to think and act fast, and never leave a Mon behind. As leader of the large grouping of Outlaws known as the Blue-Spirit Outlaw Confederation, more or less called the Blue-Spirit Outlaws by most, she wields an almost unmatched power over the rural lands of Tremel. From the Courier Isles to the edges of the Blue Plains, to the Humble Mountains and the Maiden Peninsula, gangs and Outlaw groups that are subordinate to her follow her Code, strike targets when asked to, and work together in times of dire need. Outlaws may be outcast from society but the Shark has made sure that every Outlaw has a chance. Again, so long as they follow her Code.Mako's goals and ambitions are not unknown, it is a well-known fact she wishes to bring about change to Tremel. She sees corruption that has casted out many an innocent Pokemon, leaving them to die in the wild or rot behind bars for crimes they didn't commit or were pinned on them. Of course not everyone shares her beliefs, especially her greatest rivals. The leaders of the guilds that try to keep the peace in Tremel, Rene the Meowstic of the Trade Guild and Kalina the Weavile of the Emerald Enforcers. Aside them is the Lexin Wayfarers, a rival Outlaw organization located in the Lexin Desert and lead by what she sees as "an old fart who needs to quit" aka Jerrin the Mightyena. Her history before being an Outlaw is unknown, with only speculation of every kind. From being a secret cult leader, to a serial killer gone mad with power, to a simple conmon who rode their words too far for their own good, there are many theories on who Mako is and was.

Arin; Co-Leader of Blue-Spirit Outlaws, Leader of the Spirit Meadows Gang

Banette

Known as "The Spy" in many circles, Arin is a foe not due to her strength but from her information network and personal work she puts into espionage. If you need to know something, Arin and her gang can help with that. Crafty, diligent, and a bit a jester, she's one to smile, make you smile, or make you frown. This Banette came to ally with Mako and her Blue Plains Gang for several reasons, the primary one being that before being leaders of their own Outlaw gangs, they were a duo of Outlaws. Outside that, the more Pokemon working together the better and while Arin's gang can gather info, Mako's could enact plans with said info. That said, she wholly supports Mako's confederation of Outlaw gangs, groups, individuals and outcasts as it finally gives her and many others something resembling the world they all had been cast out of when branded as Outlaws. She herself had been an Outlaw for a long time, thanks to her age of almost a century. An age that's hard to believe considering how she acts a lot of the time, Arin loves to play prankster when she's bored or not busy with anything else. Her favorite target being Merlin, the other co-leader of the Blue-Spirit Outlaws. He has come to have a slight distaste for her games but it's all in good fun when involving him or random Outlaws she thinks are just grumps who need to lighten up. It's not so much a game when she's doing it in a fight, as it both dazzles and badly distracts those who try to confront her directly, giving her the chance to either escape or support someone else; usually Mako or Merlin in these cases. Of course, she doesn't always play pranks on others- if she can, she prefers to spend her time cooking; for fun and to feed others. While she herself can't eat the food, as a Ghost it doesn't do anything, it is a relaxing activity and something you can find her doing time to time when not bothering Merlin. When it comes to ideals, she sees Mako's as a bright spot in her life. It gives the Banette meaning for once, something to be ambitious about and work hard for. She believes that Tremel needs change but doesn't exactly know what change would be good or what Mako exactly has in mind with that idea but she still supports it none-the-less. After all, they are close friends and she doesn't intend to wreck that relationship anytime soon.

Merlin; Co-Leader of Blue-Spirit Outlaws, Leader of the Ruins Gang

Galvantula

Eccentric, an avid reader, and a meticulous planner, Merlin is the epitome of "mad scientist" if a Pokemon were to think of one. A mobile lab full of contraptions and chemicals wherever he goes, his moniker of "The Scientist" is highly apt and not without its downsides. Mako tends to deal with the aftermath of an experiment gone wrong too many times a month but usually let's it slide in general as he's an incredible asset to the Blue-Spirit Outlaws- aside from bringing an Outlaw gang into the fold. His planning skills culminates the information Arin gathers and goals Mako wants to achieve, rounding everything out to what usually ends up being highly successful missions for the large and motely gang of Outlaws whenever they set out to take on the task. Some of his contraptions have been a grand boon to them as well, such as tuning crystal that allows Psychic types to communicate farther than they can see, so long as their other contact is a Psychic as well, and a specially made knock-out gas that mimics Sleep Powder without the hassle of obtaining said Sleep Powder. As for where he's come from and why he follows Mako... no one is for sure, other than the fact he's actually foreign to Tremel and sticks with Mako out of some unknown goal. Putting up with Arin's antics with an incredible patience. To the best knowledge of the regulars in the various Outlaw camps, his goals revolve around finding out some sort of forgotten knowledge. What knowledge that is though, is a question on its own.

Lexin Wayfarers

About

Operating out of a desert may seem foolish but that is only to Pokemon who don’t understand the traditional, free ways that ones like Jerrin do. The Lexin Wayfarers thrive off surviving in harsh terrain, never having a single place to call home but an entire region. Ranging from the Lexin Desert’s extreme reaches, to the Arrogant Mountains, to the Blistling Hills, Wayfarers can be found.Contrary to belief, they are not initially hostile to those who approach them, or vice versa, especially those who live in the region but do not wish to take part in their activities. If one is a stranger, then they may accost you with their ideals- or if one is unlucky, your money and goods.Aside from these endeavors, the Wayfarers also provide safety to Pokemon with nowhere to go in life and those who have been burnt by civilization’s dark side. Not all who do come to them need this safety, however. Many who share the ideals of the Wayfarers can be normal Pokemon going about their day, but when called to action, they will don their Mark and do their part for the Wayfarers; for Freedom.

History

The Lexin Desert extends along the eastern coast of Tremel, taunting all those within and outside the continent with untold discoveries, ancient ruins and dungeons holding forgotten treasures, and the potential for fame. This draw of riches, adventure, and fame has caused what was once a meager outpost by the sea to grow into today’s Spearpoint Bay: a thriving city of trade, adventure, civilization in an untamed land... and an ever-present thorn in the sides of those who wish to practice nomadic ways in the region.Pokemon have lived without the umbrella of civilization for eons, and many in the Lexin Desert see the idea of collective towns and cities as a danger to tradition and individual strength. A false sense of security where the darkness of modern corruptions lie, with greed and envy infect and poison otherwise good Pokemon.Jerrin the Mightyena grew up in a nomadic tribe, and witnessed such corruption firsthand when traders and merchants ruined the Pokemon he considered close to him. Tricked into trusting what seemed like good ‘mon, only to be betrayed and cast aside like an empty wine flask. He himself refuses to be tricked in such a manner, and gathers more and more Pokemon that share his ideals to his side. His passion for the traditional ways combined with his caring leadership has won over young and old, strong and weak, and foolish and cunning alike - not just in the Lexin Desert itself, but throughout all of Tremel. They unite under a common and noble creed: Civilization can exist, but not in the Lexin Desert - potentially nowhere in Tremel. It has done nothing but harm more Pokemon than help. The Lexin Wayfarers see what true freedom is and, one day, Jerrin and his supporters hope to have all Pokemon in Tremel come to learn what freedom really is as well.

Elderly and quiet, it can be easy to presume this Mightyena as harmless if one randomly met him on the road but don't be fooled for even past his prime, Jerrin is still a mighty Outlaw to be feared.
From when he was a young adult, he has seen what the corruption of modern civilization has done to otherwise good Pokemon. Traders and merchants destroying the livelihoods of friends and family alike, casting them against each other in fits of greed, and taking from the land to never give back- only to profit. An anger grew in him, building a set of principles and ideals of today's Jerrin. One he is proud to espouse, proud to declare that the metropolitan south of Tremel was nothing but a danger to Pokemon. It did nothing but put invisible shackles on them. For that, he proclaimed that Pokemon needed true freedom: freedom from Envy, freedom from Greed, freedom from Pride, and freedom for Gluttony.
How to achieve that freedom was a question Jerrin had multiple answers for. Sew chaos and teach Pokemon they were not safe in the towns and cities. Open their eyes to the shady dealings those around them propagate. Destroy the source of the darkness, the Trade Guild.
With these ideas, over the years, he grew from working with a small band of friends to leading one of the biggest Outlaw factions on Tremel. Pokemon have flocked to his cause from all across Tremel and many hide among the everyday populace, ready to don the Mark of the Wayfarers and answer the call of Freedom. The Wayfarers are not without their enemies of course. The Wayfarers, and Jerrin in particular, do not see eye to eye with the Blue-Spirit Outlaws. A group that is, to him, nothing more than a bunch of rowdy gangs coming together to play pretend lead by a "tart young starry eyed fool" for thinking she could ever hope to change Tremel for the better instead of just wiping the slate clean.
Outside Mako and her band of Outlaws, he and the Wayfarers regularly come into negative contact with the Emerald Enforcers and the Trade Guild, the latter of which seems to have a keen interest in the Lexin Desert- something of which he cannot stand for.

Harper; Co-Leader of Lexin Wayfarers

Noivern

Fiercely loyal and battle-scarred, the imposing dragon type originally hails from a tiny settlement within a cavern system at the base of the Arrogant Mountains. While it remained isolated for a majority of her life, business from the Trade Guild eventually reached them and things began to change for the worst for her family as the Guild tightened it's grasp. Displeased by events, Harper left her home and fled into the Lexin Desert to start anew. It was there where she met Jerrin, and quickly took to his ideals and vision towards a better Tremel. It wasn't long before she had thrown herself fully into the Wayfarers and inevitably ended up serving as Jerrin's personal bodyguard.Despite her battle-ready attitude and willingness to throw herself into danger to protect those she cares about, Harper is surprisingly gentle and kind to those within the Wayfarers. She truly has a "mother bear" sort of personality and treats her members as one might expect a mother would treat her children; with love and care, but willing to punish those who perform bad behavior in efforts to keep them from repeating it. Her care for others extends beyond the members of their faction, but only to those who remain unaffiliated with other groups. While she doesn't care much for the Enforcers or Blue Spirits, it is the Trade Guild she truly cannot stand and views their members as unworthy of compassion. The Trade Guild's interest in the Lexin Desert in specific is something she cannot stand, and she will do everything in her power to help prevent what happened with her home happen there too.

Victoria "Vicky"; Spymaster for Lexin Wayfarers

Zoroark

Victoria, better known as Vicky--to the few who actually know her at least-- is the Lexin Wayfarer's resident Spymaster and she takes her job as seriously as she respects Jerrin. Which is to say not at all. Luckily she is extremely talented at her job, to the point where many pokemon wonder why she is even working for an old geezer like Jerrin with her skills, and a little goofing around has never gotten in the way of getting the "scoop". Vicky has the attitude of a mon who knows she is too good to be replaced and the few times she can be spotted around the Lexin Wayfarer camp it's usually hanging around Jerrin or any of the other resident stick in the mud pokemon they enlisted and just seeing how much she can push them before they do something about it. When she isn't being her own special brand of annoying Vicky is actually rather enjoyable to be around, light hearted jokes and casual gossip are the norm and her ever present smile can be quite contagious though these are still often hidden behind another illusion.Of course her line of work means she is rarely ever actually in the camp, and when she is she is usually disguised as someone or something else, so not many of the other members even know she exists! In all honesty Vicky prefers it this way, it's much harder for other pokemon to blow her cover when they don't even realize she has a cover to be blown; this is actually why she elected instead of actually wearing her mark to use her own brand of "disappearing tattoo" allowing her to be innocuous even when she isn't in disguise. Once she gets into character it is impossible to even spot the real Vicky, on the field even other double agents would be hard pressed to point her out in a crowd. Because of this level of stealth even to fellow members Vicky is quite easily able to maintain and abuse several different "characters" for the different guilds to bring home goodies for the rest of the Wayfarers, though if she really needs to let someone know she can always flash her mark on her left forearm no matter what form she is taking. Why she joined the Wayfarers, where she came from, and what she plans to do all remains mysterious but she is here and certainly has no plans of leaving yet!
